Advancing Healthcare Transition: Multi-Stakeholder Roundtable Report - The report highlights the need for supports in advancing health care transition for youth with disabilities. Youth with chronic conditions and disabilities will have to transition from pediatric to adult health care system.

  

Dissemination and Implementation Models in Health Research and Practice – developed by The Center for Research in Implementation Science and Prevention (CRISP), this interactive toolkit will allow professionals to review and select, adapt, and integrate dissemination and implementation models into their study or practice contexts.

 

National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) - The National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) is the library of the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR.). We collect, catalog, and disseminate the articles, reports, curricula, guides, and other publications and products of the research projects funded by NIDILRR. NIDILRR funds more than 250 projects each year that conduct research on a wide range of issues including technology, health and function, independent living, and capacity building.

 

Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) Releases New Study on Healthcare Transition and Employment - ODEP commissioned this study in 2012 to better understand the relationship between disability (including chronic health conditions); health and wellness; and transition and employment outcomes for youth with disabilities. In addition, the study examined the role health-care providers play in establishing employment expectations. 

 

Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERC) - conduct programs of advanced research of an engineering or technical nature designed to apply advanced technology, scientific achievement, and psychological and social knowledge to solve rehabilitation problems and remove environmental barriers. RERCs also develop systems for the exchange of technical and engineering information worldwide and improve the distribution of technological devices and equipment to individuals with disabilities.
